To investigate the murder case of senior journalist Arshad Sharif, Pakistani officers questioned Waqar Ahmed and Khurram Ahmed, the citizens of Karachi who miraculously survived the shooting incident, in Kenya.
Important progress has been made in the investigation into the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif. The Pakistani investigation team that went to Kenya recorded the statements of the two brothers Khurram Ahmed and Waqar Ahmed, the alleged perpetrators. According to the sources, in response to the questions, Waqar Ahmed said that a friend had asked to host Arshad Sharif, he was staying at my guest house for 2 months, he met Arshad Sharif only once for a meal.
According to the sources, Waqar Ahmed said that he had invited Arshad Sharif for a meal at his lodge outside Nairobi.
Khurram Ahmad said that there is a dirt road of eighteen kilometers from the lodge to the paved road, stones were placed some distance before the road starts.
Waqar Ahmed told the investigation team that Khurram miraculously escaped the firing, later handing over the iPad and mobile phone used by Arshad Sharif to the Kenyan authorities. It should be noted that a two-member team consisting of FIA and Intelligence Bureau officers is present in Kenya for investigation where senior journalist Arshad Sharif was shot dead a few days ago.
